I joined the team in 2018 as development, marketing and administration support having used Applebees Fitness to get back into shape following the birth of my first child. Ben did an amazing job supporting me to change my lifestyle and fit in manageable but meaningful exercise at home. Within 3 months I was fitter than ever and below my pre pregnancy weight – I then became pregnant with our second baby and again he supported me to maintain a healthy and active pregnancy.
My role is to help with the growth of Applebees Fitness and to ensure clients are provided with a first class service, anything that needs doing most likely comes my way! I’m really passionate about helping to grow the Applebees offer & playing my part in helping people achieve whatever their health & wellbeing goals are. Outside of Applebees Fitness I’m a Regional Manager for a National Governing Body of Sport helping provide & facilitate opportunities for more people to take part in our sport. I studied a sport science degree at the University of Gloucestershire before also taking a masters in sports development so keeping active has always been a passion of mine. I’ve worked in sports development for 14 years but am now part time, spending the rest of the week raising our toddler and our new baby. In my spare time I’m also a board member for Netball South West, a voluntary organisation helping support the development of netball across the South West. I am also locality rep for Taunton and West Somerset on the Somerset Maternity Voices Partnership, a voluntary group aiming to improve maternity services for women and their families.
I’m excited to be part of the Applebees team and work with such a passionate group of people to help people live healthier lives.
